Description Edit

Until its closure in 1986, Zodys was one of those discount department stores that spelled competition to stores like Kmart, FedMart, The Akron and the new store Target Stores. My fondest memories of going to Zodys is smelling that freshly popped popcorn and seeing those Slush Puppies drinks. Two particular locations I recall going to are: 1. In North Long Beach on South Street.Cherry Avenue where Angels Hardware, Koby's Shoes and Albertsons Grocery Store was. 2. In Lynwood on Imperial Hwy with Foods Co.
